Grains of Truth

Branding and identity for the Grains of Truth project.

Vision

zernapravdy.org platform was set up by the Holodomor Museum Fund, founded in 2018 to build the world's first and only Holodomor Museum. On the website, every victim is presented with the grey grain, each of which is as unique as the millions of human lives lost in the mass genocide of Ukrainians during 1932-1933.  Users can pick the grain and make donations towards it to symbolically "Sprout the grain of Truth". Such grain turns bright yellow and the name of the victim and their details are revealed on the screen after the donation is made. This also helped contributors to find names of their relatives or family who lost their lives during Holodomor.

Goal

The goal of this platform is to enable everyone, regardless of financial capacity, social status, and publicity, to contribute to creating the Holodomor Museum.

Process

While the platform was developed by volunteer design and tech companies, I was involved as the Creative Consultant to form the brief, monitor deliverables, and direct the brand identity solution.

Deliverables

In the final stages, I was designing the visuals for the launch event campaign, online advertising banners, outdoor banners and adverts, and communications for magazines. I also created the social media posts and templates, and video templates for the platform section, which allows public and private figures to launch their own fundraising campaign and increase exposure to their local communities.
